Jarkko Riihimäki (Piano)

Berlin-based pianist Jarkko Riihimäki is at home in numerous genres, from classical music to Jazz or Musical. Besides he is very versed in accompaning singers, which makes him the sparring partner of concert singers, opera singers and even beat boxers.

We're looking forward to hearing his improvisation-loving hands at the Opening of the 4. Saas-Fee Filmfest, the Awards Ceremony and the Fireside Talk.

​Jarkko Riihimäki
studied at Sibelius Academy in Helsinki. Concert trips brought him to Europe, Asia and South America. As an arrangeur and composer Riihimäki wrote music a. o. for the German Symphony Orchestra Berlin, the Fauré-Quartet and the String Quintet of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra. His latest album release is TALES FROM WITHIN (2016) by Jarkko Riihimäki Film Orchestra.
