3 COEURS - Opening Film

A blessing in disguise ... One night in a French provincial town, after missing his train back to Paris, Marc (Benoît Poelvoorde) meets mysterious Sylvie (Charlotte Gainsbourg). The two strangers spend a sleepless night together full of allusions and romantic serendipities. They wander through the streets, talking about everything except themselves. Marc takes the first train back, and sets a date with Sylvie in Paris, a few days later. Sylvie keeps the date. Misfortune befalls Marc, and he cannot. He searches for her and ends up finding someone else: Sophie (Chiara Mastroianni). They fall in love with each other and want to get married. everthing seems fine ...

The dark and at the same time humorous ménage à trois, that fosters Benoît Jacquots reputation as a director of women, holds the tension until the very end.
