Atletico Pabarile, the worst team of the Sardinian third league, is beaten like every year by Montecrastu, the team led by arrogant exploiter Brai, who owns the lands. The return to town of young Matzutzi who had emigrated, upsets the balance of the championship, and Atletico Pabarile starts winning one match after the other. The story of the two teams intertwines with the professional climb of Cruciani (Stefano Accorsi), an ambitious referee at the highest international level who gets involved in a corruption which will bring him down to the hell of the Sardinian third league.
In Paolo Zucca’s feature debut dusty Western and juicy comedy meet to a bone-cracking football ballet. No dry eye will be left on the field.
