Jessica Krummacher
Film maker. Diploma at HFF Munich, (Doc.). Studied Media Art at HFG Karlsruhe, and politics at Ruhr-University Bochum. In 2006 she founded the film production Klappboxfilme with film maker Timo Müller. 2011 her debut feature Totem had its world premiere at the IFF Venice. Currently she is developing her next feature Birth of Purple (AT), which was awarded with the „Eurimages Co-Production Development Award“.

A young woman called Fiona shows up in a city in the Ruhr region to work for the Bauer family as a housekeeper. Mr. and Mrs. Bauer and their children all live their own lives, they coexist without communicating with each other. They fail to realize that Fiona has made a devastating decision. Only the Bauer family‘s neighbour starts to suspect that something might be wrong.
