A trip into film history with musical live-accompaniment

19.07.2014

On 18th July 200 festival fans celebrated with us halftime of the inrun for the 2nd Saas-Fee Filmfest. We are glad to continue the partnership with Talis Festival & Academy - which brought already a shine to the 1st. SFFF - with a programme highlight in Saas-Fee.

As a guest performance at the Festival for chamber music, on Saas-Fee Village Square we put on an open-air showing of the recently restored silent film IM KAMPF MIT DEM BERGE (STRUGGLING THE MOUNTAIN) which was shot close to Saas-Fee. The score by Paul Hindemith was played live during the showing by 7-person-ensemble of Talis Festival & Academy

The SFFF not only starts to extend its programme but also to exceed the confines of the 5 days in March and be present during the rest of the year, too.
