Markus Schleinzer
born in Vienna in 1971, actor in Austrian and German Film- and TV productions. Casting director of more than 60 film and TV productions. Worked as actor and director for theater plays. In 2011 he realised as director and script writer his first feature film Michael which made it in Cannes competition and won the Max-Ophüls-Award. Currently working on his second feature film Angelo.

Automatic blinds, noise protection on the cellar door and at the foot of the stairs a door with a steel waler. Markus Schleinzer’s extraordinarily stringent debut feature narrates about pedophelia from the offender’s perspective. It leaves space to the spectators, to discover the horror themselves, which is glued very precicely to the most banal things and processes.
