Asia Argento
Coming from a film-making family, Asia Argento made her debut as an actress at the age of nine; she has worked notably with Nanni Moretti, Michele Placido and, later, with her father, Dario Argento. Then she began working internationally: La Reine Margot by Patrice Chéreau, New Rose Hotel by Abel Ferrara. In 2000, Asia Argento wrote and directed her first feature Scarlet Diva, then in 2004 Le Livre de Jérémie, her second film adapted from a novel by J.T. Leroy.

Rome, 1984. On the verge of divorce, Aria‘s artist parents are too busy with their egos and extra-marital affairs to properly care for any of Aria‘s needs. Aria finds herself in a Cinderalla-like constellation, with her two older sisters being pampered, while she gets accomodated in the broom cabin. Totally at the mercy of her parents arbitrariness, Aria is being pushed back and forth between her dad’s flat and her mum’s, neither of them being a home. Very imaginative and tongue-in-cheek in narration and visuals and blessed with an exquisite soundtrack by Brian Molko (Placebo), Incompresa gives its little protagonist a very warm embrace which makes it almost unbearable that nobody in the film loves her.
