Thomas Woschitz
Born 1968 in Klagenfurt, Austria. Studies with Lina Wertmüller at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome, Italy. He directed several successful short films. Concepts and realisation of experimental film installations and music videos. In 2005 he realised the film concert Sperrstunde - Closing Time together with the band Naked Lunch. 2005 Recognition Award of the Province of Carinthia. 2009 Max-Ophüls-Preis for his music film Universalove.

A desolate filling station is the center of social life in an Austrian one-horse town. Dagmar works there, is indepted and is about to be kicked out from her flat. Lippo swears revenge on his Boss who fleeced him of his share in a betting shop after 15 years of loyalty. When car mechanic Karl and his weird friend Rizzo happen upon a large amount of money, things start moving. Three car crashes and a stolen gun seem like a hint of fate to escape the monotony of life ...
In dense atmosphere and with an hypnotic soundtrack Bad Luck narrates about a place in no man ́s land where people just about grapple with life. The stranded, crooked soldiers of fortune in Thomas Woschitz’s abysmal comedy seem to have arrived right out of life itself.
